Why these and not testimonials
Reviews you can
check yourself
Any builder can put five glowing quotes on a website with a first name underneath. There is no way for you to tell whether a single one of them is real.
These are not that. Every review on this page is on TrustATrader, left by a verified customer, and it is still there for you to read alongside every other one. We cannot edit them, we cannot remove the ones we do not like, and you can check any of it in about thirty seconds.
TrustATrader vet and approve members, check identification, verify the company address and take up customer references. We have been an approved member since February 2009, which is seventeen years, and there have been no missed appointments in the last six months.
The two reviews further down are quoted exactly as they were written. Nothing has been edited, shortened or tidied up.

Five stars
We recently had a single storey rear kitchen extension built by LD&C and we couldn't be happier with the result. The team were professional, friendly and clearly knew their trade inside out. The site was kept neat and tidy throughout and the project came in on budget with no nasty surprises. The quality of the finished work is excellent and our new kitchen extension has completely transformed the space. We would have no hesitation recommending LD&C to anyone in the Sidcup area.

Five stars
LD&C delivered a professional and reliable service. Communication was clear, timelines were met, and the quality of work was consistently high. A dependable team that I would recommend.

What comes up again and again
Six things reviewers
keep saying
Read enough of those reviews and the same six things come up. These are ours, written from what the reviews say rather than quoted from them.
The site is left tidy every day
The thing reviewers mention more than any other. Tools put away, floors swept, the place left usable at the end of every working day. It sounds small until you have lived through a build where it did not happen.
You are told what is happening
Reviewers repeatedly describe being kept informed throughout rather than having to chase for an update. On a job that runs months rather than days, that is most of the difference between a good experience and a bad one.
The price does not move
On budget with no nasty surprises, in one reviewer's words. The quote is itemised before anything starts, and where something genuinely changes it is priced and agreed in writing rather than added at the end.
The same team turns up
Reviewers name the people who worked on their house, which only happens when it is the same faces every day rather than whoever was available that week.
Advice before you have committed
Several reviewers mention getting help with layout and design before any work was agreed, and being told what would and would not work. That costs you nothing and it is not conditional on giving us the job.
Timelines are met
Completed on time appears often enough across the reviews to be a pattern rather than luck. Every service page on this site publishes a timescale for the same reason.

Every review on that profile started with somebody getting in touch about a house that had stopped working. We will come and look at yours, measure up and price it properly. The survey is free, the quote is itemised, and no deposit is taken at any point.
