How to reach us
Three ways,
all of them answered
Office
The number to try first. If nobody picks up we are on site, so leave a message or use the mobile.
Mobile
Goes straight to the person running the jobs rather than to an office. Text is fine if it is easier, and so is WhatsApp, which is how a good number of people reach us now. Photographs of the room or the elevation come through well that way.
Best if you have drawings, photographs or a long list. Attach whatever you have and we will read it properly.
On site Monday to Friday, 7am to 6pm, and Saturday mornings, 8am to 12pm. Phones are answered well outside that. We try to pick up until 9pm, seven days a week, because most people can only think about this properly once they have got in from work and the house has gone quiet. If we miss you, leave a message and you will get a call back.
We work out of Bexley and we come to you. There is no showroom to visit and no trading counter, because everything we do happens at your house. If you would rather start with the form, the quote request is on the homepage and takes about a minute.

What happens next
From the first call
to a price
Four steps, none of which cost you anything. Nobody is going to turn up and sit at your kitchen table for two hours trying to close you.
You get in touch
Call, email or send the form. Tell us roughly what you are thinking about and where the house is. If it is not work we do, or not somewhere we cover, we will say so on that first call rather than book a visit and waste an evening of yours.
We come and look
Usually within a week, and at a time that suits you rather than only during working hours. We measure up, look at what is actually there, and talk through what is possible and what is not. Expect us to tell you if something will not work.
You get an itemised quote
Broken down so you can see what each part of the price is for, rather than one number at the bottom of a page. If you want to compare it against another builder, an itemised quote is the only way to do that honestly, which is why ours is one.
Then it is your decision
The survey is free, the quote is free, and nothing is owed either way if you decide against it or go elsewhere. No deposit is taken at any stage, on any size of job. Work is billed in arrears.
Worth having ready
Six things that make
the first call quicker
None of these are required. Every one of them gets you a more accurate answer sooner.
What you are trying to solve
Not the building work, the problem. More bedrooms, a kitchen that fits everybody, somewhere to work, a downstairs bathroom for somebody who cannot manage stairs. Often there is more than one way to get there and the cheapest one is not the one people arrive expecting.
Any drawings you have
Architect's plans, a rough sketch, an estate agent's floorplan, or a photograph of something you liked. All of it helps. If you have nothing at all that is completely normal and it is not a problem.
A rough budget
Not a figure to be held to, just the order of magnitude. It is the fastest way to find out whether what you want and what you want to spend are in the same place, and if they are not it is better known in week one than week six.
When you want it done
We usually have work booked several months ahead, so timing matters. A wedding, a baby, a family member moving in or a date you need to be finished by all shape how a job gets planned.
Access and parking
Whether there is side access to the back of the house, where a skip could go, and what the parking is like on the street. It sounds trivial and it genuinely affects both the price and how long a job takes.
Whether you plan to stay
Most people live in the house throughout and we plan around that. On the larger jobs it is worth talking about early, because it changes the order things get built in and where we seal off.
Where we work
Bexley and the
towns around it
We are based in Bexley and work across Bexley, Sidcup, Bexleyheath, Welling, Dartford, Crayford, Eltham, Chislehurst, Orpington, Petts Wood and Bromley.
That is a deliberately small area. Working within a few miles means the team is on site first thing rather than sitting in traffic, and it means somebody can be at your house the same morning when a decision needs making. A builder covering half of London cannot do either of those things, whatever they say at the quote stage.
If your town is not on the list and you are nearby, call and ask. We will tell you there and then rather than leave you waiting on a quote that was never coming.
What we build most of is house extensions, loft conversions, garage conversions and chalet conversions. Alongside those we take on whole house renovations, kitchens, bathrooms and structural work.
